11 Months!

11 months today!

Milla is 11 months today! She's been very vocal the past month, is becoming increasingly aware of her surroundings and loves being outside. She's doing a lot of standing, standing and clapping, standing and holding her hands above her head, etc. and her walking record is at four continuous steps. It won't be long before she's chasing her sister!

I've been calling her "snuggles" lately because she's such a cuddly baby. Hold her and add her purple blanket to the mix and she's in heaven!

She's clearly growing . . . she does a lot of ducking under the table now!

Happy Birthday, G'ma Linda!

Preparations began yesterday for a birthday party for Grandma Linda who can now officially tap into Medicare (before it disappears for the rest of us)! Anja worked hard to make ice cream cupcakes (thank you Joy the Baker for your recipe, and to Alisha for your tip last year), a big sign, and was certain that G'ma needed flowers AND balloons to celebrate. Anja thought dancing should be a part of the party as well, so she tried hard to coerce everyone to get on the dance floor. It was a fun night, even concluding with Singapore Slings, courtesy of G'pa Ron.

Day 2 of the ice cream cupcakes . . . fill 'em up to the top with ice cream!

The finished product . . . the frosting (1/2 and 1/2 and chocolate chips) kept melting off the tops!


Next month she'll be clapping for something a lot better than Cheerios . . . her own cake!
