Milla is ONE!

Hey! Hey! I'm ONE year old today!

Milla turned one year old today! The day was very low-key, having celebrated with both sets of Grandparents and Milla's Uncle Steve on Thursday. She seemed to enjoy all of the attention but didn't really appreciate eating cake as much as I thought she would. I think she'll like it a little more next year!

What is this crazy thing?
Why it's a chocolate ganache cake from
the Franklin Street Bakery of course!

Ribbons are much cooler than gifts this year!

Anja and her typical reaction when she's given something (she adds the sweetest sing-songy "Thank You!").

Milla continues to grow and expand her world each day. She's been adding to her repertoire of tricks too; walking a little more, understanding concepts of in and out/open and closed, waving hi/bye using her little fingers, speaking "words" that sound like "hi," "mama," "dada," "Anja," "cheese," throwing balls (sometimes two at a time) and lots more. She loves being outside, playing with water, and going on wagon rides around the neighborhood. Like everyone else, we've delighted in spending lots of time outside with all of the unseasonably warm weather. No doubt, Milla has too.

Early morning pictures?! (If she only knew . . .)

She prefers crawling because she's FAST!

Playing stand up/sit down peek-a-boo with Papa.

The Bjerkness girls stopped by to wish Milla a Happy Birthday on their way over to the NSC Stars home opener.

We continue to feel so blessed to have Milla in our lives--it has been such a sweet year with her. She has brought smiles and cheer to many. We look forward to everything her second year will bring!
